OILCOM Tanzania - Partners

The Malawi Connection
OILCOM (T) Limited operates in Malawi through its sister company, PETRODA (MW) Limited, located in the country’s capital city of Lilongwe. PETRODA has already constructed fuel storage depots in Lilongwe and in the other commercial city of Blantyre, and maintains about 30 retail filling stations in the country. Apart from oil business, PETRODA has successfully invested in real estate in Malawi. The company owns several state-of-the-art commercial buildings in the major cities, some of which are currently being occupied by international organizations and government agencies. Besides expanding international trade, OILCOM and PETRODA undertakings in Tanzania and Malawi are positively strengthening the good neighbourly relationship between the people of the two nations.

The Opportunities in Zambia
After the success in Malawi, PETRODA entered the adjacent country of Zambia in 2005 and registered its operations under the name PETRODA Zambia Limited. In Zambia, the construction of various retail outlets and depots in the country has already started. Zambia is a land-locked country to the south of Tanzania but is very well linked to the port of Dar es Salaam through both rail and road. Like in Tanzania, PETRODA Zambia will operate its own fleet of transport to effectively reach consumers in all parts of the country. A sound transport division will enable PETRODA Zambia to advance into the Copper Belt of Zambia and the Democratic Republic of Congo to meet the fuel needs of the vast mining area. Like in Malawi, plans for investment in real estate sector in Zambia are also in progress.
